Biden caught between internal violence and foreign policy changes

The United States is passing through unprecedented internal unrest that threatens to open the door for violence.

This increases the challenges facing the new administration of US President Joe Biden.

President Biden faces growing terrorism, both nationally and internationally.

Meanwhile, the Homeland Security Department warned on January 27 against new waves of violence, amounting to terrorism.

Warning amounts to a confession by the security establishment in the US that the hate crimes happening across the country are synonymous to terrorism, even as they might not be based on religion.

The same establishment warned President Biden against terrorism from Islamist groups.

It said violence in this regard would last for some time and that President Biden and his aides have to take action against possible terrorism.

Political terrorism

The attacks which took place on Capitol Hill on January 6 portended the security challenges that would face the new administration.

Four people were killed when disgruntled supporters of former president Donald Trump broke into the Congress building after the results of the presidential election were declared.

This scene will continue to live in the minds of American policymakers for a long time to come.

The same thing was included in the abovementioned report of the Homeland Security Department which warned against a repetition of the attacks on the Congress building in the coming period.

It said those casting doubt on the results of the presidential election are many.

Nobody has debated this doubt, the department said. This is why it is highly likely that the attacks can be repeated.
