With the continued fall and destruction of weapons of the terrorist Houthi militia, the Iranian manufacture of missiles and drones used by the Houthis is revealed, which shows the continued smuggling of weapons to the militia by the mullahs, as the joint forces stationed east of Al- Durayhimi managed to shoot down an Iranian reconnaissance plane launched by the Houthi militia, which was recently classified by the United States as a terrorist group.
A military source said that the joint forces detected the Houthi reconnaissance plane flying in the sky of Al-Durayhimi and managed to successfully shoot it down.
This comes in the context of the escalation of the Houthi militia and its miserable attempt to eliminate the peace process sponsored by the United Nations.
The joint Yemeni forces announced the seizure of an Iranian weapons truck in the coastal district of Mocha in the west of the country, which was on its way to the pro-Iranian terrorist Houthi group.
The media center for the Giants Brigades stated that 11 Giants Brigade forces stationed in the Najiba area of Mocha managed to seize a truck carrying shells and ammunition that was on its way to the Houthis, adding that “the seizures were referred to the competent authorities to complete the procedures.”
The joint forces also announced that they had thwarted the smuggling of large quantities of Iranian-made ammunition and artillery shells at a security checkpoint in the same area that was on their way to the Houthis.
In a related context, a report prepared by United Nations experts and presented to the Security Council confirmed that the pro-Iranian Houthi militia has diverted more than $1 billion of state funds for their combat activities in the country’s civil war, according to German news agency DPA.
A panel of experts estimated that the Houthis transferred at least $1.8 billion in 2019, a sum the Yemeni government was originally supposed to use to pay salaries and provide basic services to citizens.
“There is an increasing amount of evidence proving that individuals or entities from within Iran are involved in sending weapons and their components to the Houthis,” said the report by independent experts who monitor the Yemen sanctions regime.
The team of experts confirmed in their report that they “have documented several supply routes for the Houthis in the Arabian Sea using conventional sailing ships.”
According to the report, “Weapons and equipment are transported in Omani and Somali waters to smaller boats, and these shipments are delivered to ports located on the southern coast of Yemen and smuggled by land to the Houthis, or in some cases, through Bab al-Mandab directly to the areas under Houthi control.”
Iranian army spokesman Abolfazl Shekarchi has previously admitted to sending Iranian experts to the Houthis in Yemen as part of the transfer of technology to the militia to target neighboring Gulf countries.
Iran continues to supply various weapons to the Houthi militia, with the aim of prolonging the conflict in Yemen to instill Iranian Shiite concepts in an effort to complete the implementation of the Shiite crescent plan to control Mecca.
Shekarchi said that Iran has transferred its technological experience in the defense field to Yemen so that the Yemenis can manufacture missiles and drones themselves, which means sending Iranian experts and advisers to the Houthis to install smuggled ballistic missiles and drones.
He explained in statements, transmitted to Al-Arabiya by Russia Today, that Iran supports the Houthis and Hamas and everyone who is lining up against America and Israel, adding that this is an excuse that Iran has taken to gain the affection of the Arab peoples.
Shekarchi stressed that the economic conditions do not allow Iran to give everything to their allies (Houthis, Hezbollah and Hamas) for free, indicating that they sometimes buy some things (he did not specify them), but this is an indication of the smuggling of weapons.
