Egypt and Libya will likely enhance their cooperation in the coming period, especially after the formation of a new government in Libya.
New Libyan Prime Minister Abdul-Hamid Dbeiba has expressed optimism over the future of relations with Egypt.

Dbeiba made these remarks on Twitter. He said his government would work to advance cooperation with Egypt, noting that relations between the two countries have their own peculiarity.
The new Libyan prime minister noted that his country would also bolster coordination and consultations with Egypt in the coming period.
During a phone conversation with Prime Minister Dbeiba, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi said the formation of a new government in Libya was a historic milestone on the road to settling the Libyan crisis.
The Egyptian president said his country would offer full support to the new government in Libya.
Egypt is ready, he said, to roll out its expertise in fields that can help Libyans bring about stability to their country.
President Sisi added that Egypt is also ready to participate in the implementation of development projects of priority to the Libyan people.
We have full confidence in the ability of the new Libyan government to manage the transitional phase and initiate comprehensive reconciliation among Libyans, the Egyptian president said.
