Protests sweep through Iran ahead of year’s end

The Iranian year will come to an end on March 20. The approaching end of the Iranian year comes as the Islamic Republic is overwhelmed by protests by disgruntled citizens who complain against deteriorating economic and social conditions.

This comes as the Iranian regime squanders the people’s money on supporting terrorist militias outside Iran’s borders.

Iranian retirees staged protests in different cities against low salaries and high commodity prices. The protesters also complained against a spiral down in the value of the Iranian national currency against foreign currencies.

A US dollar is now equal to quarter a million Iranian riyals. This dwarfs the salaries of ordinary Iranians against their monthly needs.

Social Solidarity retirees gathered outside Social Solidarity offices in a number of Iranian cities to complain against their deteriorating economic conditions amid this economic collapse.

Photos shared on social media showed the demonstrators chanting slogans against the government, accusing this government of treason and the parliament of complicity.

The demonstrators said the inflation rate keeps rising, causing suffering to ordinary Iranians.

They added that they would not stop protesting until they get their rights.

Social Solidarity retirees have been staging protests across Iran since the beginning of this week.

Some Iranian officials, meanwhile, concede that the gap between the salaries and commodity prices keeps getting wider day after day.

The demonstrators called for increasing their salaries, and giving the access into free medical treatment. They also want to be paid equally with other Iranian retirees.
