The Iranian regime keeps violating the terms of the nuclear deal with Western countries one by one.
Iran has already stopped abiding by any limits to uranium enrichment. It does not allow Atomic Energy Agency inspectors to inspect its nuclear sites either.
New episode
The agency revealed recently that Iran had resumed uranium enrichment in the underground facilities of Natanz in Isfahan province.
The agency said Iran plans to install new centrifuges at the Natanz facilities.
This comes as the international community complains against Iran’s failure to show abidance by the terms of the nuclear deal with Western countries.
Some countries have even warned against Iran’s pursuit to possess a nuclear weapon.
Military goals
The International Atomic Energy Agency said Iran would use modernized centrifuges at the Natanz facilities.
The new centrifuges, it said, speed up the enrichment of Uranium for military purposes.
It added that this accelerated enrichment of uranium violates the terms of the nuclear deal.
Iran started last year the transfer of three enrichment facilities to underground locations in Natanz.
The nuclear deal with western nations allows Iran to enrich uranium, using the first generation of centrifuges only.
Khamenei’s justifications
Iranian Supreme Guide Ali Khamenei posted a video on his Twitter account this month, in which he justified his country’s uranium enrichment activities by saying that they do not have any military objectives.
The enrichment, he said, aims to produce clean and environment-friendly energy.
Khamenei said nuclear energy would be necessary for the post-petroleum period.
