The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) tries to return on the international stage after the losses it sustained in Syria, Iraq and Libya by drawing in new recruits.
It does this, capitalizing on the video-sharing social networking service, Tik Tok.
Complex propaganda
ISIS possesses a professional and complex propaganda network that succeeded in airing thousands of videos and propaganda materials, the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies said.
It added that ISIS also aired thousands of messages via other social media networks in different languages with the aim of reaching the largest number of people around the world.
This terrorist organization rolls out information about itself to encourage people to join it, the center said.
It added that ISIS also calls on Muslims around the world to revolt against the regimes of their countries to establish an Islamic caliphate instead.
The Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies noted in a report despite all the land ISIS lost in the past period and the killing of its caliph, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi in 2019, the organization succeeded in preserving its ability to produce propaganda materials and air it using different media.
In the service of terrorism
The center said ISIS makes the best use of opportunities made available by modern technologies on the road to achieving its goals.
It added that the organization uses cyberspace successfully to reach out to people in different countries, including in the West.
Although Arabic is the main language of the propaganda material of ISIS, the organization uses other languages to reach the largest number of people, the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies said.
