Cairo – Egypt’s Dar al-Iftaa’s Fatwa Monitoring Observatory issued a new report revealing that Harakat Sawa’d Misr “Hasm” (Arms of Egypt Movement) has proved that the violence is a deeply-rooted strategy for the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) group.
The strategy of violence was laid down by MB founder Hassan Al-Banna and has been growing over time. The report noted that MB group has acknowledged that Hasam is affiliated to the group, as stated by MB leading figure Reda Fahmy, who is currently a fugitive in Turkey. Fahmy strongly supported the recent terrorist attacks carried out by Hasam against Egypt’s army and police.
The MB leading figure described the terrorist attacks as “revolutionary acts”.
Speaking to MB-linked Mekameleen TV channel on Monday, Reda Fahmy said: “All active movements in Egypt, atop of which is Hasam, are meant to liberate Egypt from the current political regime, which removed Brotherhood from power.”
The Observatory added that Al-Banna thinks that the use of violence and weapons is obligatory and inevitable and this thought is deeply-rooted in the strategy of MB education.
Terror attacks in Egypt have killed hundreds of policemen and soldiers since mid-2013 after the military removal of former Islamist President Mohamed Morsi in response to mass protests against his one-year rule and his currently outlawed MB group.
