Former Sudanese Prime Minister, Abdalla Hamdok, called Sunday on the international community and regional states to help Sudan overcome its current crisis.
The suffering of Sudanese citizens, he said, is made worse by current fighting between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Force.
“The humanitarian situation in Sudan is catastrophic,” Hamdok said at a press briefing in Khartoum.
“Sudanese citizens can only choose peace,” he added.
He called for dialogue that leads to an agreement as well as the rejection of foreign interference in Sudanese affairs.
The former Sudanese premier also called for an immediate ceasefire and quick understandings before things spill out of control in Sudan.
