Mahmoud Mohammadi
After mass popular protests against the rule of ousted President Mohamed Morsi and the Brotherhood, the revolution of June 30, 2013 broke out in Egypt with the participation of millions and resulted in the overthrow of the rule of the terrorist Brotherhood.
There were several reasons behind the fall of the Brotherhood in Egypt, including:
1- Political and economic failure: The Brotherhood government failed to improve the economic and political situation in Egypt and was unable to meet the demands of citizens to provide work and public services or maintain security and stability.
2- Internal division: There were internal disputes between the Muslim Brotherhood, and the group was widely criticized by many of its members and supporters, which led to the undermining of its strength and disintegration.
3- Human rights violations: The Brotherhood government violated human rights and public freedoms in Egypt and tried to pass laws and legislation that restrict freedom of expression, press, and assembly.
4- Foreign support: The Brotherhood received foreign support from some countries, which exacerbated the political conflict in Egypt and increased tensions between the government and the opposition.
5- Popular movement: Egypt had witnessed a rise in political awareness among citizens, and the popular uprisings turned into large protest movements, prompting the Egyptian society to take to the streets and demonstrate against the rule of the terrorist Brotherhood.
Thus, the fall of the Brotherhood in Egypt was the result of the accumulation of many political, social and economic reasons that led to the deterioration of conditions in the country and the increase in popular resentment against the government.
In addition, Dr. Abdelrahim Ali, head of the Center for Middle East Studies in Paris (CEMO), said that the June 30 revolution liberated Egypt and the region from the captivity of religious fascism and from the grip of corruption, darkness, terrorism and colonialism.
Ali explained that this eternal revolution was tantamount to rewriting the history of Egypt and the entire region, so the terrorist Brotherhood fell irrevocably, and its figures fled outside the country. He stressed that the fruits and successes of this glorious revolution still continue despite all the difficulties and conspiracies from the forces of evil, darkness and terrorism that continue against the Egyptian state, but Egypt, with its people, its leader, its valiant army and its national police, has the ability to bring down all these satanic plans.
Dr. Abdelrahim Ali stressed that the fruits of the June 30 revolution were not limited to the borders of Egypt, but rather extended to the Arab world, and for the first time, slogans of the fall of religious fascism rule rose within all Arab countries after the lie of the Arab Spring.
He pointed out that this glorious revolution, without exaggeration, has redrawn the map of the Middle East and the entire region, restored Egypt’s identity and leadership, and unleashed Egypt’s enormous capabilities that the whole world is witnessing.
Ali pointed out that the revolution of June 30, 2013, which was sparked by millions of Egyptian people against injustice, extremism and the Brotherhood, and which President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi did not hesitate to lead to safety, is only a natural and popular extension of the July Revolution, while today Sisi is following the path of development and human building, strengthening the national army, and building state institutions in a modern way.
