Cairo – Qatari Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammad Abdul Rahman Al-Thani admitted the Muslim Brotherhood is a terrorist group in a slip of lip during an aired interview on American Fox News Channel.
After a long history of supporting and funding the Muslim Brotherhood, the Qatari Foreign Minister said that the group ranks in place as Al-Qaeda in terms of terrorism, bearing witness to its terrorist activities. This was what Doha was striving to deny as it harbored the organization’s base despite proof of its involvement in terrorist-related activities.
“Regarding Al-Qaeda, the Muslim Brotherhood and any terrorist organization, Qatar is not supporting them,” he said during the interview, which discussed solving the Gulf crisis. This comes as the Brotherhood terrorist organization receives support and funding from the Doha system under the pretext of the group’s political activity.
Recently, the world witnessed protests both in the Gulf region and abroad that objected the atrocities of the Qatari regime. Following Qatari Emir Tamim bin Hamad’s arrival in Germany last week, Arab communities in Berlin organized a protest and the participants condemned Tamim’s current visit to Germany, hoisting a number of banners denouncing Qatar’s involvement in sponsoring and harboring terrorists.
