Nihad Rizk Wadih Haddad, who known as “Fayrouz”, is a Lebanese singer.
She was born in Beirut on 21 November 1935.
She sings 800 songs with her late husband Asi Rahbani and his brother Mansour Rahbani, known as the Rahbani brothers.
She started singing at about the age of six in 1940, where she joined the Lebanese radio choir.
She has won international awards and awards.
Fayrouz’s career has begun in 1952 when she began singing with the tunes of the musician Asi Rahbani, who married her.
With the Rahbani brothers and their younger brother Elias, she presented hundreds of songs that made revolution in Arabic music for its short duration and strong meaning, unlike the Arabic songs that prevailed at the time. Moreover, Fairouz’s songs were simple to express with the depth of the musical idea and the variety of themes; it sang for love and children, for Jerusalem.
A large number of Fayrouz songs were performed in a group of plays, which reached 15 plays, The themes of the plays varied between criticizing the ruler and the people, glorifying the championship and love of all kinds.
