Africa Business Forum 2017 has wrapped up its sessions today in the resort city of Sharm El-sheikh amid wide praises among African officials who attended the conference’s activities over 3 days.
Secretary General of COMESA, Sindiso Ngwenya, said that the conference discussed different topics about enhancing economy between African countries and the future of renewable energy in the continent.
Infrastructure projects, trade exchanging, and investment have been addressed by officials who see the forum as a robust step-forward to reinforce ties between African nations.
President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi took part in the last session aimed at promoting business and investment in Africa with the participation of President of Rwanda and a galaxy of executive- managers of major companies in Africa and the world.
Al-Sisi asserted in the session that Egypt has approached with a clear view the support of youth by talking and interacting with them through regularly-organized conferences which are a unique experiment that Egypt pursued during the last period.
Al- Sisi also discussed the importance of confidence-building measures between governments and young people in which he summarizes in providing job opportunities, fund, and investing in youth’s capabilities.
The president referred to the government’s efforts to provide 200bn pound over 4 years to fund micro-and- small enterprises.
Al-Sisi touched upon the chances of investment in Egypt especially in the mega Suez Canal projects which would reshape the future of Egyptian economy.
During the session , President Paul Kagame has called on African governments to work on improving business conditions to achieve the much desired private sector led growth.
Kagame said that the continent’s economic development and growth will be largely driven by the private sector.
However, for that to happen, he said governments ought to improve the conditions to create conducive business environments.
