A source close to Mohamed Salah, the Egyptian and Liverpool club player, has revealed that the Premier League top scorer with 13 goals was named the 2017 African best Player of the Year by the BBC.
Mohamed Salah received the African best Player of the Year award after his participation in Liverpool’s and Everton’s match at Anfield in the 16th round of the English Premier League, which ended 1-1.
The source added that the British Broadcasting Corporation, interviewed Mohammed Salah on Sunday, and it will be broadcast after the official announcement of winning the award.
Mohamed Salah won the prize after competition with four players, Gheene Napi Keita of Leipzig of Germany, Niger’s Victor Moses of Chelsea, Pierre Obamyang of Borussia Dortmund of Germany and Sadio Mani of Liverpool.
