Commander of Al-Nusra Front, Abu Mohammed Al-Julani, has lately announced to bring new militants in his Militia in an attempt to revive the Army of “Fath Al-Sham” which disappeared one year ago.
It is a new war that armed groups want to launch on the Syrian soil after they had been resoundingly defeated by the Syrian National Army (SAA) and Russia.
Al-Julani plans to combine Al-Nusra, which he leads, with new fighters under a unified entity to fend off the advance of SAA in southern Aleppo and eastern Hama.
Al-Nusra is a militant group transformed later into “Fath Al-Sham” front joining other armed elements to continue fighting SAA on the Syrian soil.
Who is Al-Julani?
Al-Julani is a commander of “Fath Al-Sham” front formed by Qatar after it was divorced from Al-Qaeda by a Qatari Maneuver.
He had undertaken the leadership of this front which was relocated with thousands of armed fighters to Idlib by the help of Qatar and Turkey.
In the meantime, Doha pursued to maintain its relations with Al-Julani- led group, internationally listed as a terrorist organization, to seize control of Idlib.
State-financed channel Al-jazeera hosted Al-Julani several times in which he appeared in a blurred form.
In 2016 some international news agencies leaked a covert meeting between Qatari Emir Tamim and Al-Julani.
Tamim provided a fillip to the commander of “Fath Al-Sham” front granting him $50m.
During the meeting, Tamim called on Al-Julani to withstand in Aleppo’s battle promising him to increase the influx of the financial support, according to foreign news reports which disclosed other secret meetings with Al-Julani and Qatar’s intelligence.
Turkish- Qatari schemes
Turkish- Qatari’s plot is to replace all foreign armed elements with local Syrian fighters in a form of a previously-formed group called “Fath Al-Sham” to combat the SAA and provoke upheaval on the Syrian territory.
As per The Turkish-Qatari plot engineered by their intelligence apparatus, all local warring factions, including Ahrar Al Sham and the Free Army would be incorporated under a unified leadership by Al-Julani.
This entity that was reestablished may ignite another war In Syria, according to experts and monitors.
